Why You’ll Love This Snickers Smoothie Bowl

- Packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
- Tastes like a Snickers bar, but in a smoothie bowl form.
- Plus, you can customize this smoothie bowl recipe, by adding your favorite toppings.
Snickers Smoothie Bowl Ingredients
This Snickers smoothie is creamy and perfectly sweet, so it actually tastes like you’re indulging into a Snickers bar. Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- Organic Frozen Banana: A frozen banana adds more sweetness and creaminess to this smoothie bowl!
- Organic Frozen Cauliflower: I know it sounds crazy, but adding frozen cauliflower is where the thick texture comes from. Don’t worry, you can’t taste it. I recommend using store bought frozen cauliflower, or even frozen cauliflower rice, because it blends up nicely.
- Organic Medjool Dates: Adding dates to the recipe transpires the most amazing texture to achieve the tastes of caramel. Also, be sure to make sure that your dates are pitted.
- Organic Cacao Powder: To make the smoothie chocolatey! To be clear, cacao powder is different from regular dutch cocoa powder. Cacao powder is pure, raw cacao versus processed. Plus, cacao is rich in magnesium.
- Organic Peanut Butter: Adding peanut butter is key to achieve the classic Snicker bar flavor. I recommend using creamy peanut butter, made with 1 ingredient, peanuts!
- Organic Unsweetened Non-Dairy Milk: You only need a little liquid to blend, since it’s a smoothie bowl. I used organic unsweetened almond milk, but you can use any non-dairy milk that you enjoy.
- Organic Ground Flax Seeds: Ground flax seeds are loaded with nutrients, high in omega-3 fats, rich in dietary fiber, and you can’t even taste them. They are completely optional, so no problem if you don’t have them…yet!
How to make this Snickers Smoothie Bowl
All it takes is 3 simple steps to achieve your candy bar smoothie!
- Add: To begin, add the non-dairy milk, ground flax seeds, cacao powder, peanut butter, frozen banana, Medjool dates, and frozen cauliflower rice, in a high-speed blender.
- Blend: Starting on a low speed, use a tamper to help ingredients blend. Pausing & scraping down sides of the blender as needed. If necessary, add additional non-dairy milk in 1/4 cup increments, until a thick, smooth texture is achieved.
- Serve: Then, transfer your creamy smoothie to a chilled bowl. Garnish with crushed peanuts and a drizzle of melted dark chocolate, if desired. Enjoy!

Tips for making the Perfect Smoothie Bowl
To make the perfect smoothie bowl, make sure to follow these tips!
- Use a frozen banana and frozen cauliflower to achieve a thick consistency.
- Start with a little liquid as possible, and add more only as needed. You can always add more, but once you add too much, you can’t go back! Pausing in between blending to scrape down sides helps as well.
- Use a high-speed blender, with a tamper, to ensure that your smoothie bowl achieves a thick and creamy texture.
- Place your serving bowl in the freezer before you begin preparing this recipe and remove it when smoothie is ready. This will ensure that your smoothie bowl stays cold as you enjoy it.
Fresh versus Frozen Ingredients
The key to making smoothie bowls is using frozen ingredients. By adding frozen banana & frozen cauliflower to your smoothie, you will achieve a thicker result, so that you can add toppings, without them sinking. I usually start with a little non-dairy milk and add more, if needed, until I reach the desired thickness.
